Mayor Walter Daniels, lll

     As we move into 2025 and my second term as Mayor of the Town of Amite, I will continue to lead our team as we move Amite forward.

     If you are new to our town and our website, let me introduce myself. I am a lifelong resident of our town.

I attended Amite area schools, served as a town council member, as a school board member, a police officer

and worked as Transportation Field Coordinator for the Tangipahoa Parish School System. I am a member of Butler AME Zion Church where I am a member of the choir and serve on the Trustee Board.

     We have several projects that are in process.

1. Regional Wastewater Sewer Treatment Facility
2. West Mulberry Street Extension
3. Renovations of City Hall
4. New police station
5. Renovations of downtown sidewalks
6. Connection road from Hwy 16 West to Arena Road
7. Renovation/update of Fleet Easley Park
8. Improvements at Butler Town Park
9. Annexation
10. Drive by water meters and state of the art software
11. A new city barn

     Our team is working hard to move these projects and others forward.

     My office is always open to the citizens of our great town. If you have a question, concern or idea, my door

is open.
